I was invited to go with my brother on this charter after he received the trip as a gift. A fishing charter on Lake Michigan has been on my bucket list of things I would like to try for a long time. This one did not disappoint! Captain Chris and Bill were great. They knew where to take us in order to catch, they had all the equipment needed. At the end we ended up with 11 great size fish (both King Salmon and Steelhead Trout). If you are looking for a charter out on Lake Michigan, I would highly recommend Highlife Sport Fishing. I definitely want to go again and hoping I can make this a yearly trip.

Booked this trip for my husband, his brother, and uncle as a Father’s Day gift and the boys had a blast! They hooked 11 massive fish and had some well deserved bonding time together. Huge thanks to Capt. Chris and his mate Bill for a wonderful experience! The boys said they are planning to make this an annual tradition. We will see you next summer!

I had wanted to take my son fishing on Lake Michigan for years, so I finally booked a trip with Captain Chris aboard the High Life. It turned out to be an incredible day on the water. We landed 9 coho salmon, lost a few along the way, and brought home over 18 pounds of fish. Captain Chris and Billy worked hard throughout the trip, adjusting lures, positioning the boat, and sharing their knowledge to keep us on the fish. Their experience and dedication made all the difference. The highlight of the day was watching my son reel in his first Lake Michigan fish. That's a memory we'll both cherish for years to come. Thank you, Chris and Billy, for making the trip so special. My son is already planning a King Salmon trip this July, and there's no question we'll be booking with Captain Chris and the High Life again.

Captain Chris did an excellent job putting us on fish despite the challenging conditions. The weather was unusually warm, and the calm water made the bite tougher than expected, but he worked hard to keep us on active fish throughout the trip. What really stood out was his dedication. He even stayed out longer than the scheduled five hours to give us more opportunities to catch fish. His effort, experience, and commitment to making sure we had a successful day were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Captain Chris and this trip to anyone looking for a great day on the water.

I've fished with Captain Chris several times over the years with both family and friends, and every trip has been a great experience. He works incredibly hard to keep everyone on fish and consistently puts us in the action. We've always had successful outings, often reaching our limits, and his equipment is top-notch and well-maintained. Beyond being an excellent captain, Chris is also genuinely friendly and easy to spend a day with on the water. Thank you, Captain Chris, for another fantastic fishing experience. On May 16, 2026, our trip got off to a great start. We accidentally arrived at the wrong location, but Captain Chris quickly got us pointed in the right direction. Once we arrived, the boat was ready, and we were able to leave the dock 30 minutes ahead of schedule. About 15 minutes after setting up the lines, the action started. The coho salmon were biting, and we enjoyed steady fishing throughout the morning. In just 3.5 hours, we reached our 20-fish limit and had an absolute blast doing it. The weather was perfect, the fishing was outstanding, and everything came together for an unforgettable day on Lake Michigan. Captain Chris and Billy worked hard to keep us on the fish and made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Thank you, Captain Chris and Billy, for a fantastic trip. We couldn't have asked for a better day, and the fresh coho salmon tasted amazing!

We got off to a strong start, landing a solid salmon within the first 15 minutes and another soon after. Things slowed down later, but the captain worked hard and even gave us an extra hour on the water. The weather was perfect, and the captain, crew, and boat were all great. If I make it back to Kenosha to fish again, I’d book this boat without hesitation.

This was my first fishing charter, and I couldn’t have picked a better captain. Chris is down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and put us right on the fish. Even during a tougher time of year, he came through and helped me fill the freezer with salmon. I highly recommend High Life Fishing Charter.

Chris did a great job putting us on fish. Not long after the rods were set, we picked up our first King. By the end of the day we had 5 bites and landed 2 Kings and a Coho. His easygoing style made the whole trip relaxed and enjoyable. Great weather, solid fishing, and a really good day on the water.

This was my third trip with Captain Chris, and this time I brought my daughters and grandkids. We had a great time, even on a slower day. We caught three big Lake Trout and a young Chinook, and honestly couldn’t ask for more. Such a fun day on the water.

We spent the morning on a family trip with Captain Chris, and he made the whole experience easy and fun. He knows the Kenosha fishing grounds well and is just a great guy to be on the water with. Everyone in our group caught multiple fish and learned a lot about the area. We’ll definitely be back to fish with Captain Chris again.
